Care Rooted in Dignity. Guided by Connection. Centered in Community.
Our Philosophy of Care
The Jones Embodied Care Collective was founded on the belief that communication, recovery, and healing are deeply connected to identity, dignity, humanity, and community. Rooted in embodied, relational, and community-centered approaches to care, the Collective seeks to create spaces where individuals and families navigating neurological change feel heard, supported, respected, and empowered.
At the heart of the Collective is a commitment to whole-person care. Rather than viewing communication only as a clinical skill to be restored, the Collective recognizes communication as tied to identity, belonging, autonomy, relationships, and participation in everyday life.
How We Serve
The Collective integrates speech, language, and cognitive-communication therapy with education, advocacy, mentorship, and community support. Areas of focus include telepractice-based communication therapy, Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) preparation, caregiver education, student mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community-centered initiatives designed to foster communication, connection, resilience, and collective healing.
The Jones Embodied Care Collective envisions a future in which communication care and neurorehabilitation are compassionate, accessible, culturally responsive, and rooted in dignity and human connection. Through embodied care practices, education, advocacy, and community partnership, the Collective strives to support not only recovery, but also belonging, identity, and meaningful participation in life.
“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.”
—Bell Hooks
